my 11 inch donation

I have been planning this for a long time. If you have noticed I have on the side of my blog the Pantene Beautiful Lengths link to where you could donate your hair for women who have lost theirs do to cancer. It all started when a young girl in my ward cut her long hair off and donated it. Then a few weeks later I watched the Oprah show and it had Hilary Swank on it and she and others donated their hair for woman and who have cancer and are in need of wigs. And that is when it hit me. I knew I wanted to do that. I thought that was such a wonderful gift you could give to someone that was in need. So I pledged to the website that I would do it. AND I DID IT!!!! Kelsey ended up cutting 11 inches off! I didn't even know my hair was that long. So here is a picture of Kelsey cutting it off. And here is a shot of me in my new haircut. (I make the worst subject to photograph. That is why I prefer the other side of the camera). I have been wanting to do this for so long. Last time I had hair this short was in high school. Now I can walk out of the house with some style to my hair. I love it!!! And I feel so much better doing it because it was for a good cause. Hopefully some women will be able to enjoy it who is in need.

And an update of Wyatt potty training. He is doing great!! Not one accident and he does it all by himself. Why didn't I do it sooner.

wyatt is going to kill me when he gets older

So this week I have been potty training Wyatt. He turns three next month so I thought he was old enough to start. So the night before we started I got out some of the underwear that we have bought for him and let him see them. Well my son is the oddest kid ever. I nor Landon did that to him. He, himself put the underwear on his head and arms and was dancing around the room. I could do only one thing......take pictures. That boy is so like his father.
The very first day of potty training went really really well! There was a point that I let him wear nothing, and there is nothing cuter then a kids bum. So when he wanted to help me do some dishes with nothing down below, I let him and then took a picture. I edited for the internet. And Wyatt has done so good with potty training, No accidents so far, and this is day two. Wish me luck for the rest of the week! (I hope I didn't offend anyones feels with this picture. I did blur the bum, it just might not look like I did)

heres to you april and wes

So long story short, two years ago (well, longer then that) when I really wanted to start wedding photography I would go and shadow other photographers. For April and Wes Aleman, Rhead Lown was their wedding photographer and I happened to know him personally so I asked if I could shadow him. He said "yes". He is really a nice guy and a great photographer. However, back then I didn't have a website nor a blog. And today while the boys were taking their naps I saw that April commented on my blog. And I thought to myself.....I have never really played or did anything with their pictures. (I even hope you have some of these, if not call me and I will get you these). So that is what I did, played with the pictures. And I really like these. I love the beach with the brides and grooms. So heres to you April and Wes! (two years later). You guys are so cute and fun. We really need to hang out again! This is my favorite shoot, them looking out to the water. I don't know why, but I just love the contrast between the color and black and white photos. (Yes it's the same picture)

painting.....with hair???

So the other day I got out our paints for Wyatt to paint. I wanted to be that good mom and let him paint, even if it got messy. I was trying to get him to paint with his fingers and he wouldn't have anything to do with it. I know it is good for his sensorys, but he did not want to. However, I turn my head for one minute and he is painting with his hair. Full on dipping his head in paint and putting it on the paper. I have no idea where he got that idea. He so takes after his father. Nonetheless, I let him paint.....with his hair.

back on to blogging

Finally I'm back on. My internet has been giving us such troubles. Come to find out that it was just a bad router. Plus I've been pretty busy. With what you ask? This..... My boys!!!
Last weekend we went to our friends wedding up at the Los Angeles Temple (My favorite temple). So I thought I would be one of the pesty people that the photographer always hates. The person that brings their own camera and wants to take pictures too. Well I wanted to and the mother of the groom asked me to as well. But while I was there I took some pictures of my boys.....of course
Wyatt saying cheese.
Did I tell that he walks now. He's so cute

Yeah!!!! While Dallen was on his RnR he and Christina came down for the wedding. Aren't they cute!!! He's so happy with her. I'm sad he has to go back to Iraq on Feb 12th :( I look at this picture and he looks so grown up.

Shane and he's beanie. He loved playing with that. The beautiful couple and their bridal party.Oh yeah.....Shane had he's first birthday and loved every bite of his cake. I can't believe my youngest is now one. But I love watching grow and learn new things. I love my boys!!!
